The Setup:

GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) hosted the global Vaccine Virtual Days to address COVID-19 vaccination development, safety and more. This interactive two-day program connected healthcare professionals from around the world, with a series of sessions taking place on the ON24 virtual event platform. To ensure that attendees could participate in the discussion in their native language, GSK used Interprenet's remote simultaneous interpretation (RSI) solution to provide six language channels to listeners and speakers during the sessions.

The Approach:

GSK was challenged to bring the congress online due to pandemic restrictions at the time and coordinate the changeover within a few weeks. GSK chose the ON24 event platform to run the digital sessions. To provide a sophisticated RSI-integration into ON24, the team used RSI-technology by Interprefy.

The Result:

Working in pairs, a team of 10 remote human interpreters, with extensive industry experience, provided simultaneous interpretation in Spanish, French, German, Italian, and Portuguese throughout the sessions via the interpretation platform.
