Some of the most requested languages for interpreting are Spanish, French, Japanese, Portuguese, German, Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin), Korean, Arabic, Russian, and Italian. We can provide an accurate interpretation with knowledge of terminology, slang, and even regional dialects and rare languages.

Approved interpreters must hold national and internationally recognized accreditations in their interpretation mode and level of industry specialization. Accreditation requirements vary depending on the type of interpretation provided. Our recruitment team takes each applicant through a rigorous 5-stage recruitment process that includes interviews, skills testing, and compliance. Interpreters are subject to ongoing monitoring of their services, quarterly and annual evaluations and continuous improvement.

  1. Consecutive Interpretation: The interpreter repeats statements in another language after the speaker pauses. Commonly used in court hearings, business meetings, and other conversational settings.    
  2. Simultaneous Interpretation: The interpreter renders the interpretation in real-time while the speaker continues their speech. Often used for conferences, seminars, and social events.    
  3. Whispered Interpretation or Chuchotage: The interpreter whispers the interpretation to a small audience of less than four people, commonly used in bilateral meetings and small settings.      
  4. Sight Translation: This entails verbally transforming written text from one language to another, constituting a synthesis of both translation and interpretation. This skill is commonly called upon during interpreting assignments, requiring the interpreter to read a written text silently in one language and articulate its content aloud in another language simultaneously.

Consecutive and simultaneous interpreters differ in their approach and technique. While a consecutive interpreter waits for the speaker to finish speaking or pause before interpreting, a simultaneous interpreter provides interpretation in real time without interrupting the speaker's flow. While consecutive interpreters mostly work alone, simultaneous interpreters work in pairs to maintain accuracy in high-pressure settings, and to protect their vocal chords. While both types of interpreters must prepare ahead of their meeting or event, simultaneous interpreters must study presentation and speech materials exhaustively to make sure they can deliver their interpretation fluidly and accurately.

Simultaneous interpretation when performed professionally, is the most accurate and seamless form of interpretation for conferences, meetings and events of any size and in any language. A person speaks in their language and then stops after a few phrases in order to allow the interpreter to interpret. The interpreter then interprets what was said into another language. This depends on the languages, the size and location of the event, and the level of subject knowledge required. The longer in advance you can book, the better, especially for rare languages and complex subject areas. For very large events and conferences where several interpreters need to be onsite, we recommend a lead time of several weeks. Not necessarily. It is more likely for a simultaneous interpreter to be able to do consecutive interpretation than the other way around. Although in both cases, the individual has to be proficient in both languages. But each interpretation mode requires a different skill set.

Yes, we do. The two-factor-authentication can be enabled in the event management interface of our cloud-based RSI platform. Here's how it works: Users access the RSI platform or open the app, and enter the event access token, provided by the event organizer. After confirming the event token, users will be prompted to add their email address or mobile phone number to receive a verification code. Users will then receive a passcode either via email or text message (SMS), enter the passcode in the RSI application and click "submit". After successful verification, users will now be able to join the event.

Along with three years of experience in medical interpreting, interpreters must hold nationally recognized accreditations, such as CCHI. We also ask for proof of medical terminology training in addition to the 40-hour basic medical interpreter training. Proof of updated HIPAA compliance needs to be resubmitted every year.

Live captions are generated on our interpretation platform off the audio speech of each speaker (and interpreter, if active) using AI. The AI provides text directly from the words being spoken. Just like interpretation, captions will follow as live transcription slightly after the speaker has delivered their words. Additionally, we can use AI to deliver captions in another language different from the one the speaker is talking in.

Automatic captions are those AI-powered captions that transcribe the speech into text in real-time. Translated captions display in real-time and in a different language what the speaker is saying.

Captions are especially useful for delegates and attendees who are for some reason unable to hear what is being said or for those who choose to read rather than listen or those who need visual reinforcement. With Live Captions, the deaf and hard-of-hearing can follow the dialogue in written form with the aid of captioning.

Under ideal conditions, automatic captions in spoken languages can achieve up to 98% accuracy as assessed by Word Error Rate (WER). Automatic captions convert speech into text that shows on screen in real-time in the same language as the speech. ASR - Automated Speech Recognition - is a sort of artificial intelligence used to produce these transcripts of spoken sentences.

Live captions can be enabled in two different modes. By default, the text will appear within 4 seconds of the speaker having completed a sentence. If 'instant mode' is activated, text will appear in real-time with instant auto-correction.

A candidate must have a degree in conference interpretation and at minimum two years of experience in conference interpretation.
