The Setup:

Postpartum Support International (PSI) hosted its 39th Annual Conference at the Westin Bonaventure Hotel in Los Angeles, California. The four-day event gathered 1,300 professionals and advocates dedicated to addressing postpartum depression and related disorders. Featuring a mix of high-impact general panels and dynamic audience Q&A sessions, the conference required a linguistic solution that could match the fast-paced, emotionally nuanced dialogue of the presenters. To ensure the critical insights remained accessible to all attendees, the organizers needed to deliver real-time Spanish interpretation for 150 participants without cluttering the historic venue with heavy hardware setups.

The Approach:

To maintain a clean, distraction-free environment on the ballroom floor, we deployed our cloud-based Remote Simultaneous Interpretation (RSI) framework. Instead of setting up physical interpreter booths inside the venue, a dedicated team of two simultaneous remote Spanish interpreters handled the transmission entirely offsite. Onsite, the client provided the direct audio feed from their floor setup into our interface. Attendees simply connected using their own smartphones, accessing the high-quality, real-time Spanish interpretation via our intuitive mobile app. Over the course of the multi-day schedule—ranging from evening keynotes to full-day presentations—our team provided continuous technical support and delivered edited audio recordings of each session channel for the client's post-event archives

The Result:

The integration of remote cloud interpretation with a smartphone-based delivery system allowed PSI to eliminate all language barriers seamlessly. Onsite attendees interacted naturally during panel sessions and live Q&As without the burden of traditional headset distribution or logistics. By providing an efficient, tech-forward solution, we supported a deeply impactful environment where 150 Spanish-speaking attendees could fully engage with life-saving maternal health resources in their native language.
