Midwest defense litigation firm Cassiday Schade LLP required specialized document processing and legal translation support for a high-volume evidentiary discovery project.  The assignment involved translating 159 designated German-language PDF documents containing 137,997 total words (29,725 unique words and 108,272 repeated words), as well as reviewing and sorting a larger dataset of over 5,000 files to identify any additional content requiring translation. The Approach:

While our specialized legal translators (TRS2) processed the client's 159 designated German documents into English, our team simultaneously executed a comprehensive file sorting and analysis phase across the broader 5,000+ file dataset. This dual approach helped the client's team go through the massive file pool and decide exactly which additional documents were most critical for translation. To manage the translated PDFs, we leveraged advanced translation technology to handle the high volume of repeated words (108,272 words) cost-effectively without compromising specialized legal precision.

Following the translation phase, our Desktop Publishing (DTP) specialists reformatted embedded graphics, charts, and complex layouts within the PDFs to ensure the translated English documents mirrored the original German files page-for-page, making them immediately ready for court filings and legal review.
