The Setup:

To mark the 99th anniversary of the world's oldest boxing organization in 2020, the 99th Convention of the World Boxing Association (WBA) was to provide the backdrop for the WBA General Assembly, Officials Seminars, and Championship and Rating Reviews. With surprise appearances by important personalities such as Bob Arum, Don King and Eddie Hearn, the convention was to be the perfect prelude to the centenary of the pioneering organization. But in the midst of the global pandemic, the physical event was cancelled and the WBA had to find another creative solution.

The Approach:

The WBA chose webinar provider GoToWebinar and GoToMeeting to host the conference program virtually, and the 2,000+ global attendees were provided remote simultaneous interpretation using the Interprenet RSI solution, powered by Interprefy's language technology.

The Result:

Interprenet provided a team of qualified, remote interpreters delivering Spanish interpretation. Participants simply selected their preferred language to listen to - English or Spanish.
